Sand Dredger

The job of the Sand Dredger is to - as the name suggests - dredge sand from the bottom of the Camel Estuary around Padstow Harbour making it safer for boats to navigate the channel. We first saw the Sand Snipe from Greens whilst having coffee one winter's morning. Soon after we met Matthew, a man who works on the boat, in Little Petherick church.
